Tera Patrick Reveals Plans for 2009

LAS VEGAS — Adult star Tera Patrick's upcoming year includes plans to write an autobiography, shoot a series of workout videos, both of which will have her in front of the camera performing adult a lot less.

The 32-year-old Patrick spoke about these new developments at a media appearance in anticipation of this weekend's Adult Entertainment Expo.

“I think that it’s time for me to do something else, to do something different,” she said. “How long can you really perform in front of the camera? I want everybody to forever see me as the way they loved me when they first saw me.”

Patrick added that she will continue to make appearances in public and on her official website, ClubTera.com. According to Las Vegas Weekly, her series of workout videos will be titled, "Fit For Sex With Tera Patrick."

Patrick also said she hopes to start up a full-scale burlesque show in Las Vegas.

"I’m moving away from porn and shopping for a new home for the burlesque show we have created," she said. "I’m even working with two professional dancers who star with Bette Midler nightly at The Colosseum in Caesars Palace. It’s an extension of what I did when I danced at Ivan Kane’s 40 Deuce club at Mandalay Bay. We’ve done a sexy surprise sneak peek to hint at what I’m bringing to Vegas, and everybody is amazed by it. We know there are other topless cabaret shows in Vegas, and we’re not knocking them. We’re so different. We can’t be accused of being copy-cats, but there will surely be people copying us when they see us.”

While in Las Vegas, Patrick visited her home court, the Tao Nightclub in the Venetian Hotel, where she performed a burlesque show and reflected on her 10-year career in adult.

“I get recognized everywhere. It doesn’t matter if I’m in Summerlin or Antarctica,” she said with a big smile. “The last Eskimo on earth knows who I am.”

Patrick is a nominee for Crossover Star of the Year at the 2009 XBIZ Awards. For more information, visit Teravision.com
