Bluebird Films Kicks Off Shoot Schedule With 'Katwoman'

LOS ANGELES — Bluebird Films began its 2011 U.S. shoot schedule this week with "Katwoman," the studio’s follow-up to 2010’s award-winning "Bat FXXX: Dark Night."

It plans to complete three feature titles within the next six weeks in addition to a variety of scenes for titles to be wrapped later this summer.

New Bluebird exclusive Dylan Ryder star as Katwoman, the sexy feline who takes on the twisted Jo-Kerr and his pretty pet Jo-Kette. Bluebird Films owner Paul Chaplin will reprise his role as The Jo-Kerr with Glambird Gemma Massey joining the cast as the villain’s insane enamorata.

Upcoming Bluebird titles also include "NikitaXXX," "Nip/Fuck" and "Baberunners." The company is working with four in-house directors, including Martha Washington, Marc Twain, Nicholas Steele and Chaplin.

Steele won the 2011 XBIZ Award for Director of the Year - Individual Project for helming "Bat FXXX."

The U.K.-based Chaplin this year is continuing to work as a producer/writer/director/musician/photographer and clothing designer, regularly operating in both the mainstream and adult worlds. Chaplin pens a weekly column called “Paul Chaplin’s PC World” in The Saturday Sport, a UK newspaper.

Today Chaplin will join Bluebird stars Natasha Marley and Massey for an appearance on Playboy Radio’s "Night Calls" with Nicki Hunter, live at around 5 p.m. PST. The show can be heard on channel 99 on both XM and Sirius. Listeners may phone in their questions and comments by calling 877-205-9796.

On Friday night, Ryder will be ringside in Las Vegas when her sisters Jillian and Jocelyn Lybarger compete in an MMA Tuff-N-Uff event, sponsored by Bluebird Films and DylanRyder.com. The event will be aired on Las Vegas Television Channel 3 and fans from around the globe can watch the fights live at GoFightLive.com or TuffNUff.net.

Meanwhile, Bluebird Films’ first title from its new "Seductions" line streets this week with Steele’s "Dirty Little Secrets." Other Bluebird genres include Glambirds, Teenzine, MILFworld and Gotha.
