NEW YORK — Former porn performer Sasha Grey’s visit to a Compton elementary school to read to the kids continues to cause controversy in mainstream media.
The Los Angeles Times reported that she appeared on ABC’s “The View” today criticizing the media for how it handled the reporting of her visit to the school last week.
"I feel that there was a lot of sanctimonious media firestorm thrown at me,” Grey said on the show.
“However, I've always gone after what I want, and I will continue to do that." Grey said she would like to continue reading to children.
Some of the parents complained about Grey’s appearance, but school administrators said the visit was arranged by an outside talent coordinator who listed Grey as a mainstream actress from HBO’s show “Entourage.”
Grey told “The View” that the parents should have been informed about her visit.
