LOS ANGELES — A tsunami of porn BitTorrent claims were filed in federal courts around the country on Monday.
At the end of the day, 25 filings took aim at 134 alleged copyright infringers in suits by Burning Angel, Pink Lotus Entertainment, AF Holdings (which distributes the "Amateur Allure" series), Millenium TGA (Grooby Productions), First Time Videos, Hard Drive Productions, Third Degree Films, Elegant Angel, Nucorp Inc. and Raw Films.
The sheer number of porn BitTorrent claims in one day has broken an unofficial record of sorts and targets defendants in California, Illinois and Pennsylvania.
Each of the suits ask for actual damages of $150,000 per defendant and ask the court to order ISPs to identify the John Doe defendants through their IP addresses.
It was the first time that Nucorp has jumped into the porn BitTorrent litigation arena. In its suit against 37 Does, Dominica-based Nucorp said that the alleged infringers all committed infringement in Pennsylvania.
Some of Nucorp's movies involved in the infringement case include "Interracial Sex for Cash," "Rough Sex for Sick Cash," "Pussy Pays the Gambling Debt" and "Her Ass Earns Them Money for Living."
