Video: Anna Paquin Plugs 'True Blood' XXX Parody

LOS ANGELES — Anna Paquin announced on Jimmy Kimmel Live that her favorite tribute to her hit HBO series “True Blood” was New Sensation’s XXX Parody, “Tru,” despite openly admitting that she’s never seen it.

“They’re naked and we’re naked and I’m sure it’s similar,” she told Kimmel, jokingly explaining why she does not feel compelled to watch it. “I’m sure [Ashlynn Brooke] is wonderful. I saw a nice picture of her on the back. Actually, on the front as well. She looks very pretty and very nice. I’m sure she does a great job.”

Although Paquin has refrained from watching “Tru” herself, she told Kimmel that she bought her entire cast and crew a copy for a wrap gift a few years ago. In all, she purchased about 300 copies.

“We had some issues with [the manufacturer] believing that we really wanted them, or they didn’t want to sell us that many copies, but we ended up getting them and it was fine,” she said.

Paquin also plugged the XXX parody three years ago on "Lopez Tonight," George Lopez’s talk show.

Brooke penned and starred in “Tru,” playing Paquin’s character, Sookie Stackhouse.

The HBO series centers on the life and times of Stackhouse, a telepathic waitress living in the small town of Bon Temps, La., where humans and vampires coexist. The latest season wraps in early July, Paquin said.

Brooke's XXX version retained the basic themes of the original show.

Alongside Brooke, who plays Stackhouse, the film co-stars James Deen, Misty Stone, Bill Bailey, Gracie Glam, Johnny Castle, Lana Violet, Levi Cash, Lindy Lane, Shay Sights and Vanessa Naughty.

Kimmel playfully asked Paquin how she could tell the difference between the XXX parody and her show, given the sexually charged nature of both.

“It’s a really fine line,” she said. ”I think our wigs are better.”
