Porn for Charity Website Set to Launch

CYBERSPACE — A new charitable website that could be described as “hardcore with a heart," is set for its official launch.

The brainchild of two recent Colorado State University graduates, the co-founders said Benevidz.com seeks to channel money from the “multi-billion dollar” adult industry into deserving fund-seeking organizations.

Currently seeking crowd-funding on Rockethub.com to cover last-minute details and legal fees before its official launch scheuled for sometime this fall, the site will feature live webcam entertainers, each of whom can broadcast him or herself for an audience that donates purchased “helping-handz” credits to see live performances, or requested activities.

Performers can also sell their images and videos for denominations of “helping-handz.” Members, or as the founders refer to them, “Beneviders,” can also connect with the entertainers, chatting in an online chat-room, and “following” one another to be alerted when favorite performers are online or when webcam appearances are scheduled.

“Our site combines the most desired features that other adult entertainment websites have, and eliminates the annoying and undesired features…separating Benevidz from our competitors. Plus we give back. It’s philanthropic pornography,” co-founder Mike Wondercub, said.

The creators explained that although the site is not all that novel when compared with other webcam sites, its business model differs by spotlighting the charitable contribution of a percentage of all its profits. Additionally, it offers entertainers incentive to keep content fresh and captivating by giving them a portion of the ad revenues generated by their individual pages.

Wondercub added that the site effectively empowers each performer to be an entrepreneur by offering them the option to determine their own profitability. The site has a charitable matching agreement with all of its performers, whereby the company matches 50 percent of every performer’s proceeds, and donates that sum to a charitable organization chosen by the performer.

By Wondercub’s estimate, adult is a $5 billion dollar annual industry. He hopes to capture just just 1/10th of 1 percent of the market. If successful, the company estimates its charitable contributions will top $1 million dollars each year per cause.

Right now, the company said it's focused on recruiting organizations to receive donations, and pursuing crowd funding. Wondercub promises that the site “will impress even the most avid Internet porn viewer and change the adult industry forever.”
