Really Useful Ltd. Buys Teen.xxx, Mature.xxx in $600K Deal

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. — Really Useful Ltd. has acquired the domains Teen.xxx, Mature.xxx, BDSM.xxx and PublicSex.xxx in a deal with ICM Registry worth $600,000.

JT, one of the original founding members of YouPorn, already operates a number of other .xxx domains through Really Useful including Orgasms.xxx, Casting.xxx, Czech.xxx, Mom.xxx, Massage.xxx and StrapOn.xxx.

So far, Really Useful has invested more than $800,000 in .xxx properties, with the Teen.xxx priced the highest at $400,000.

JT, who last month won Adult Industry Chief Executive of the Year at the XBIZ Executive Awards in London, said the decision to purchase more .xxx premium domains was an easy one  because Really Useful's existing .xxx sites have been performing much than his .com sites. The company's first two .xxx websites, Casting.xxx and Orgasms.xxx, launched in September 2011.

"Google ranks them higher because they clearly identify the content as adult," said JT, Really Useful's chairman. "This means that traffic to my .xxx sites has been pre-qualified by search engines and conversions from visitor to member are considerably higher.”

JT said that he was particularly motivated to acquire the latest .xxx properties because of ICM Registry's plan to include grandfathering rights to other top-level domains it plans on operating, including .porn and .sex.

"I think that .porn in particular will be an enormous bonus to search results," he said. "Based on my experience and logic, surfers will search for ‘mature porn’ or ‘teen porn’ for example, and my sites will rank high in those results. Once I knew ICM had qualified to run .porn I was straight on the phone with my wish list of domains. It is very important to me to own as many of the top 20 adult search term keywords."

Really Useful, based in the Turks and Caicos Islands, operates 17 websites including top brands FakeTaxi.com, MassageRooms.com and FakeAgent.com, as well as the .xxx websites, that bring in 8 million to 10 million views a day to the tube sites, JT said.
