Manwin Changes Name to MindGeek

MONTREAL — Manwin has been renamed MindGeek, a move that company management announced to employees on Friday.

Manwin.com now redirects to MindGeek.com, a site that calls the company an international information technology firm, specializing in highly trafficked websites.

"The company creates, develops and manages some of the most recognized mainstream and adult entertainment brands in the world," the site says. As an uncontested market leader, MindGeek has developed various in-house technologies with respect to HD video streaming and website optimization, which enables it to compete on a matchless playing field.

Ten days ago CEO Fabian Thylmann said that he sold his stake in Manwin to the company's "top management team."

Today, MindGeek spokeswoman Stephanie Ford told XBIZ that employees at the company were notified on Friday of the name change.

Still the largest adult entertainment operator globally, the newly re-named conglomerate operates Brazzers, Twistys, YouPorn, Spankwire, RedTube, Webcams Tube8, ExtremeTube, KeezMovies, Mofos, ExtremeTube, JuicyBoys and PornHub, as well as Playboy Plus, Digital Playground and Reality Kings.

MindGeek remains based in Luxembourg with offices in Burbank, Calif., Montreal, London, Dublin, Hamburg and Nicosia. It has 900 employees.
