CineKink Hits Chicago Leather Archives and Museum

NEW YORK — CineKink is hitting Chicago this weekend, bringing a slate of films that celebrate and explore a wide diversity of sexuality, to be screened at the Leather Archives and Museum.

On Saturday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m., screens “Best of CineKink/2014,” a collection of sexy shorts deemed the best during CineKink's most recent festival run.

With works ranging from documentary to drama, comedy to experimental, mildly spicy to quite explicit, this year’s edition includes “Un Bisous Americain” (J.M. Darling); “Human Warmth” (Christophe Predari);”Tom's Gift” (Todd Verow & Charles Lum); “Music Box” (Anna Brownfield); “Another Happy Anniversary” (Miranda Bailey);”Trains” (Paul Deeb); “Dear Jiz” (Ms. Naughty); and “de-railed” (Quinn Cassidy and Creamy Coconut).

Next up on Saturday at 9 p.m., it's the Chicago premiere of “Broken Side of Time,” winner of the Audience Choice Award for Best Narrative Feature at CineKink/2014. Combining photo shoots using actual photographers, and a narrative based on some of their real-life adventures, the film provides a glimpse at a rarely-seen world, and the tale of one fetish model, Dolce, who's looking for a better life on the other side of the camera.

Rounding things out on Sunday, Oct. 5 at 3 p.m., is “Decade of Decadence,” a steamy, retrospective look at some of CineKink’s favorite shorts, culled from the festival’s first decade of programming.

With one short representing each year, the line-up includes “Pornographic Apathetic” (T. Arthur Cottam); “Haircut” (Bryan Jackson); “Sullivan’s Last Call” (Francesca Rizzo); “Hitchcocked” (David Young); “Teat Beat of Sex” (Signe Baumane); “Kink, Inc.” (Casey Clark); “The Pinky Song” (Rick Ferguson); “Piss” (Vincent Peone & Bette Bentley); “Tooshie Smooshie” (from Chicago-based Jessica King); and “Impact” (Mollena Williams).

“Chicago is a great city for film fans, so the Leather Archives is a perfect stop for the Cinekink 2014 tour,” said Rick Storer, executive director of the Leather Archives and Museum, which has hosted the festival since it began touring nationally in 2006.

Admission to CineKink: Chicago is $10 at the door or $7 advance per screening, with weekend passes available for $25 at the door, $18 advance, $15 for CineKink members. Only those 18 and over will be admitted.
