Karla Kush, Marley Brinx, Megan Rain Named Official Trophy Girls for 2016 XBIZ Awards

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ is pleased to announce Karla Kush, Marley Brinx and Megan Rain will be the Official Trophy Girls for the industry awards event of the year, the 2016 XBIZ Awards presented by LiveJasmin, on Jan. 15 in Los Angeles.

Each of the performers is among the top rising stars in adult entertainment. They’ll share the stage at the spectacular JW Marriott at L.A. Live with Stoya, who will host the 14th annual ceremony honoring the best of the best in the industry today.

Kush, a 24-year-old native of Las Vegas, has appeared in more than 50 movies in the past two years for several major studios including Evil Angel, Elegant Angel, Girlfriends Films, Blacked.com and New Sensations, where’s she’s become one of the go-to actresses for 2015 Director of the Year Jacky St. James.

The former cam girl also grew up in Austin, Texas, and lived in Seattle for several years before doing her first porn scenes in Miami. Soon after her debut she made her way back to the West Coast, where she’s built a reputation as a versatile performer.

“Being offered the opportunity to be a Trophy Girl for XBIZ brings me tremendous pride and excitement!” said Kush, who is represented by OC Modeling. “It's so satisfying to know that the effort I've put into my work is being recognized and celebrated by others, industry and civilians alike, in this very special way.

“It's an honor and privilege to be considered for the Trophy Girl position and I deeply appreciate all those who have supported me and helped me get where I am today.”

Marley Brinx made her porn debut last December in her native Toronto, appearing in Mofos’ “Pervs on Patrol” and “I Know That Girl” series. Now she’s already made a name for herself in Los Angeles thanks to sizzling performances for Evil Angel, Digital Sin, Hard X, Jules Jordan Video and Wicked Pictures, among numerous other well-known studios.

The first boy/girl scene she did in L.A. was with four-time and reigning XBIZ Male Performer of the Year, James Deen, for Digital Sin in “Innocence of Youth 8.”

Brinx, an L.A. Direct Model who turned 21 in August, flirted with the idea of porn years ago but never thought it’d become a reality.

“I'm honored that I have been chosen to be an Official Trophy Girl for the 2016 XBIZ Awards Show,” Brinx said. “I never expected to have gotten this opportunity, and I'm extremely grateful to be a part of this year’s XBIZ Awards Show."

Brinx added, “I'm super excited to attend my first industry awards show. It's going to be a crazy experience, not to mention I just turned 21. So let the party begin!”

Speaking of making her presence felt, it didn’t take long for word to get out about Megan Rain in Porn Valley, where she has racked up more than 40 titles since breaking into adult last August.

The 19-year-old, native of Palm Springs, Calif., has amassed multiple credits for studios such as Evil Angel, Jules Jordan, Digital Sin, Smash Pictures and ArchAngel. Rain by late summer also had become the best-selling new performer for Immoral Productions in addition to landing her first showcase title for Adult Empire Films, “Megan Rain: Get Wet.”

Rain, who is also represented by L.A. Direct Models and appeared on the "Howard Stern Show” in April, said being selected an XBIZ Trophy Girl means her dedication is paying dividends.

“It means that my work has been recognized and that’s really all I wanted from the beginning,” Rain said. “When you start in this business you don’t really know what’s going to happen. You hear all these stories. But it’s an honor, it means I’m doing well and I need to keep doing what I’m doing. It’s always good to feel like your hard work is recognized.”

Moe Helmy, executive producer of the XBIZ Awards, said the gorgeous trio embodies everything he looks for in a Trophy Girl.

“We think Karla, Marley and Megan are sensational performers who are well on their way to major industry stardom,” Helmy said. “We’re thrilled to have them take the stage with the 2016 XBIZ Award winners on the industry’s biggest night.”

The XBIZ Awards show recognizes outstanding achievements across every facet of the multibillion-dollar adult business, including movie production, pleasure products, technology and retail.

Since its inception, the most celebrated stars from the world of erotica have hosted the red-carpet gala, including Jenna Jameson, Tera Patrick, Jesse Jane, jessica drake, Kayden Kross and James Deen. The show’s worldwide reach has led to international media coverage from outlets such as the Los Angeles Times, CNBC, TIME, Cosmopolitan, New York Magazine, Huffington Post and The Daily Beast, among others.

The XBIZ Awards will coincide with the industry’s trade events series of the year, XBIZ 2016, which annually features an unparalleled lineup of guest speakers and special events dedicated to exploring the future of the adult industry.
