LOS ANGELES — xHamster has announced its support of Dutch inventor Moos Neimeijer and his innovative minimeyes motion sensor, designed to immediately close browser windows and mute audio as soon as someone approaches the user’s desk.

According to the company, with minimeyes there is “no more scrambling with the mouse or trackpad, no more suspicious lovers sneaking up on you from behind. As soon as minimeyes identifies an intruder — BOOM! — the sound goes off and the screen disappears!”

To help the device come to market, an Indiegogo campaign was launched, with xHamster now offering a flash drive featuring some of its favorite premium scenes and content to go along with it, as a reward for early backers of the project, which has demonstrated a working prototype.

xHamster VP Alex Hawkins notes the popular adult tube site has been an industry leader in keeping porn viewing private.

“We were the first tube site to adopt the HTTPS security protocol, have campaigned against Investigatory Powers Act in the U.K., and work daily with customers across the world to help them evade governmental porn bans and monitoring,” Hawkins says. “We’re always looking for technical innovations that can make watching xHamster more relaxing.”

Hawkins says there are other uses for the device, such as banking and email, but notes porn is different, adding, “We need our hands free so that we can pull up our pants!”

The project may take a little while to hit store shelves, however, at this point only having raised $116 of its $96K initial funding goal.
