Nacho Vidal Directs 1st Hardcore Gay Movie

LOS ANGELES — Adult star and director Nacho Vidal is penetrating the gay market with the Dec. 26 release of “Ass Destroyers.” The movie marks Vidal’s first foray into directing titles for a gay audience and also is noteworthy for being Evil Angel’s first hardcore gay title.

Vidal has dipped his toes into the all-male market before with his solo and blowjob movie “Face Fuckers,” but Evil Angel publicist Karen Stagliano told XBIZ that Vidal’s latest effort enters the hardcore market with a bang. Traditionally, solo masturbation and blowjob movies attract a straight or bi-curious audience.

“Nacho’s movies have always had really strong and passionate energy,” Stagliano said. “This movie is very aggressive. In some of the scenes the guys give and take pretty equally, but there’s a few scenes where one guy is really dominant over the other.”

“Ass Destroyers” was filmed in Spain and Brazil with a native Spanish and Brazilian cast. While the movie features performers that are known in Europe, Stagliano said that many of them would be new to American audiences.

Given his worldwide popularity, Stagliano expects Vidal's gay movie to attract a new fanbase while not alienating his straight fans, too. Vidal is going to direct — but not have sex in — a few hardcore gay movies per year for Evil Angel going forward.

“Unfortunately, I’m sure there’s going to be a little bit of a backlash from his straight fans,” Stagliano said. “We saw it with Rocco [Siffredi] when he directed a few shemale movies. But Nacho’s not in the scenes and neither was Rocco in his movies.”

Vidal does appear in “Ass Destroyers” in a non-sex role encouraging his performers on.
