Girlfriends Films Releases 100th Video, 'Imperfect Angels'

RESEDA, Calif. — Following a star-studded celebratory party in Hollywood last week, Girlfriends Films has released its 100th video, "Imperfect Angels."

"It's 100 videos from one company in one genre," Girlfriends Films President Dan O'Connell told XBIZ. "All we do is girl-girl lesbian sex. One of our recipes to success is having different series. We don't lose our fans because every video looks like the others: We have the 'Road Queen' series and the 'Girls in White' series. We have different series, but we stick to one genre. We do one genre and we do it well."

"Imperfect Angels" is a story of blackmail, seduction, romance and lesbian sexual awakening in a plot involving a family’s emotional upheaval over their discovery that the family's matriarch, a wife and stepmother, is a lesbian. The video stars Magdalene in the pivotal role, and the cast includes Dana De Armond, Brittney, Cindy, Daisy Layne, Faye Regan and RayVeness.

"It handles a real-world problem: a woman who is married and finds out that she's more attracted to other women," O'Connell said. "Her marriage goes kaput, her relationship with her stepdaughter goes kaput, she has to move out of her house. It not only affects her life, but the lives of other people, as well."

Girlfriends Films focuses exclusively on lesbian-themed video erotica, including its ambitious "Thornhill Diaries" series, which involves recurring characters and plot lines across four different video series. The company has been named the No. 1 studio on HotMovies.com, with five titles on a recent HotMovies top 10 list.

Girlfriends Films next releases will be "Lesbian Seductions 19" and "Women Seeking Women 41" on May 12.
