Rebeca Linares Gets Mainstream Movie Part

VAN NUYS, Calif. — Adult performer Rebeca Linares has wrapped her appearance in "Homo Erectus," a mainstream film starring Gary Busey, David Carradine, Tom Arnold, and Talia Shire.

The film is about a "philosophical caveman,” played by director Adam Rifkin, who tries to impress his girlfriend by inventing useful things like spoons and pants. The film, which premiered at Slamdance earlier this year, was shot in Austin in 2006, with extra scenes shot recently. It's set for theatrical release in September, and National Lampoon has acquired the home video rights.

Director Rifkin has often put adult performers in his mainstream movies. "Homo Erectus" also features adult performers Ron Jeremy and Jacklyn Lick.

Linares also recently shot a photo spread for Maxim magazine.

”Working with Maxim has been a dream of mine for quite some time, and I was excited to have the chance to show them what I’ve got,” Linares said.

Linares, who has lived in Barcelona for many years, was nominated for the 2005 Barcelona Erotic Film Festival for “Best Spanish Starlet" in "A Traves de la Ventana" and won the award in 2007 for "Iodine Girl."

“Rebeca has what it takes to cross over and break into mainstream and I have been a fan for a long time,” It Models co-founder Travis Nestor said. “We are very excited to have the opportunity to work with her here at It Models.” Rebeca Linares is represented for video production by It Models.
