Maleflixxx Celebrates XBIZ Award Win

TORONTO — Video-on-demand network Maleflixxx.tv is celebrating its freshly bestowed XBIZ Award as GLBT Web Company of the Year.

Dennis Welsh is vice president of marketing and sales for Maleflixxx parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution. "We are honored to receive this award and to have been part of such an amazing evening," he said.

As he did during his acceptance speech, Welsh took the opportunity of the company's win to praise the advocacy efforts of the Free Speech Coalition and Association of Sites Advocating Child Protection.

Sureflix had additionally received an XBIZ Awards nomination as VOD Company of the Year.

"We have always strived to be a positive representative of the GLBT community, and winning this award makes all of those efforts worth our while," said Sureflix President and CEO Eric Johnson. "I look forward to taking this award back to Toronto and sharing it with our incredible staff that works tirelessly behind the scenes to make all of this possible."

The XBIZ Awards were announced Feb. 12 during a splashy ceremony in Hollywood. For a full list of winners, visit XBIZAwards.com.
