Tristan Taormino, Vivid Alt and Fleshbot are planning various fundraising activities to help DeArmond replace what she lost in the fire.
“We have to keep the momentum going; she literally lost everything she owned,” sex columnist Tristan Taormino said.
For the next month, all revenue from sales of “Chemistry,” directed by Taormino and starring DeArmond, will be donated to Dana’s Fire Fund. “Chemistry” was recently awarded Best Gonzo Release at the AVN Awards Jan. 13.
Fleshbot is receiving donations of one-of-a-kind items from friends in the industry to sell via eBay. Vivid Alt has donated the bike from its latest release, “Girls Lie,” and Fleshbot editor John D will soon add autographed pictures, DVDs and original prints from famed photographer Octavio Winkytiki to the auction list.
“We were the first to hear about [the fire] and immediately started thinking about what we could do to help,” John D told XBIZ. He said he helped set up DeArmond’s PayPal account, where money donation can be made directly through her MySpace page.
“We won’t stop until Dana’s living in a Malibu mansion, like she deserves,” John D. said.
People interested in helping DeArmond are encouraged to donate anything from mascara to a MacBook. “The only things I own [now] were in my suitcase I took to Vegas,” DeArmond wrote on her MySpace page.
