KinkOnDemand Features Blake’s ‘Contempt’

SAN FRANCISCO — Legendary filmmaker Andrew Blake has announced that he will join with KinkOnDemand.com to offer the first film from his Studio A Entertainment in on-demand format.

“Contempt,” the 30-minute film starring Faith Leon and Elena Rivera, is available now in Kink’s online theater.

“Andrew Blake is an independent-minded artist who follows his vision. That’s exactly what we love here at Kink.com, and what our customers value,” Kink.com Marketing Director Thomas Roche told XBIZ.

“The richly atmospheric, dreamlike beauty showcased in Andrew Blake’s work, I think, goes hand-in-glove with the kind of authentic, aesthetically pleasing BDSM and fetish content Kink.com generates,” Roche added. “Blake’s one of those filmmakers with many imitators but no equals, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring his work to our customers — we know they’ll love it.”

Studio A Entertainment fetish-themed titles will be added to the KinkOnDemand.com roster weekly, starting with “Contempt,” and followed by 2008’s “House Pets” and 1994's “Private Property.”

Blake, who has won multiple awards over his long career, is famous for his singular style and high-end, female-focused productions. He also is the only adult filmmaker to still shoot exclusively on film, after which his content is remastered into high definition digital formatting.

Blake’s career was launched in 1989 with “Night Trips,” and he has gone on to garner a reputation for working with a select roster of female performers, including burlesque queen Dita Von Teese (prior to her marriage to rocker Marilyn Manson) in 2000’s “Pin Ups 2.”

"I am excited about working with KinkOnDemand because I know that the Kink.com audience will appreciate my brand of high quality fetish entertainment," Blake said. "I am thrilled to expose my work to new viewers who may not be familiar with my content and hope they will enjoy the experience."

KinkOnDemand.com also features titles from German fetish producer Marquis Productions and is actively pursuing other content producers.

“We’ve been releasing the work of Peter Czernich’s company Marquis, from Germany, on KinkOnDemand since this August. Marquis focuses heavily on fetishwear, latex, plastic, and rubber,” Roche said. “As with Andrew Blake, Peter Czernich is an artist with a unique vision, different from the Kink.com vision but very complimentary.

“We are always interested in acquiring video content for KinkOnDemand — we want to showcase the best fetish video content in the world. Interested filmmakers can email content@kink.com with links to their material for consideration,” Roche added.
