“Finding Me” is the directorial debut of Haitian-American filmmaker Roger S. Omeus Jr. and will be released in the spring through the TLA Releasing label.
TLA acquired the film from OmeProductions. The deal was finalized at the 2008 American Film Market.
“ ‘Finding Me’ is refreshing entertainment that turns its lens on the gay, black experience,” said Raymond Murray, president of TLA Releasing. “Director Omeus Jr.’s debut blends romance, drama and a ‘pop’ sensibility and is an important voice as gay cinema continues to find diversity within the community.”
According to TLA Releasing, the movie is about a young black man’s journey of self-discovery, affirmation and love.
