Gay Porn Documentary Series Screens in L.A.

HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — The first documentary series about gay porn actors will receive a red carpet premiere Nov. 19 at the vintage Vista Theater in Hollywood, Calif. Several episodes of the seven-part series “Everything You Wanted to Know About Gay Porn Stars* (*But Were Afraid to Ask)" will screen in advance of its debut on subscription cable channel here! Networks this month.

Series creator and director John Roecker is scheduled to attend with a number of his subjects, including performers Nick Capra, Caleb Carter, Johnny Hazzard, Joey Milano, Nick Piston, Jason Ridge and Danny Vox.

“I wanted to delve deep to discover exactly what makes them tick. This is their forum and their voice,” Roecker told XBIZ in an earlier interview.

“Part of my process was uncovering and discovering details about these men. I wanted to know what their parents thought, how they got into the industry and what was in their future.”

Roecker added that he found “a group of men who were all incredibly bright, sensitive and inspiring — not the plastic superficial being that is often associated with ‘porn stars.’”

The Vista Theater is located at 4473 Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood. A limited number of tickets are available to the public.

There will be an afterparty at MJ’s nightclub in Silverlake, Calif.

The 6 year-old here! Networks is a subscription-based network available on all major U.S. cable systems that offers a variety of programming designed to appeal to the GLBT community.
