Maleflixxx to Donate $1 Per Rental to AIDS Charities

TORONTO — Gay digital distributor Maleflixxx.tv will donate one dollar from every rental on its network towards research to find a cure for the disease. The fundraiser will take be on Dec. 1, World AIDS Day.

The company is in its fourth consecutive year of pitching in for the cause. Although the contributions were given to a single organization in the past, this year the company will donate to several, among them Canada Africa Partnership on AIDS, Test Positive Aware Network and the Folsom Fund.

“As a company, we really take pride in helping organizations that give back to their communities and help improve the quality of life for less fortunate individuals,” Ewan French, the company’s marketing manager, told XBIZ.

This year marks two decades to the first World AIDS Day. The global event is about increasing awareness, education and fighting prejudice.

“As members of the gay adult entertainment industry, we believe it is our responsibility to assist in the fight against this unyielding disease,” said Eric Johnson, parent company Sureflix Digital Distribution’s president.
