“This represents an interesting reversal,” the company said. “For most of the Internet's history, porn was a driving force behind many of the technological advances we have come to take for granted such as streaming media, P2P, online credit card processing, associate programs and micropayments all found their start from commercial Internet porn. This is one of the few instances where porn is imitating a mainstream innovation, rather than vice versa.”
