The new film was co-directed with Chris Steele of Jet Set Productions, a sister company of Marina Pacific.
Daniels said he returned to the format of his 1995 original, which featured a XXX-spin on the cinema verité camerawork of the “Cops” reality television series.
“ ‘Young Guns’ allowed me to continue the exploration of hot male fantasies in real world settings,” he said. “In particular, the stellar cast of first-rate models was a delight for both Chris and me to work with. I can promise you that their performances will get you off.”
Lead roles went to Austin Grant, Derrick Vinyard and Kurt Wild. Supporting players include Kyle Lewis, Carter Longway, Drew Peters, Jason Reynolds, Riley Scott, TJ Young and Jesse Zane.
The original “Hot Cops” featured mid-‘90s gay adult stalwarts Joe Romero and Vince Rockland. A sequel followed in ’96 with Kyle Brandon, Rex Baldwin, Dino Phillips and Tanner Reeves.
“Hot Cops 3: The Final Assault” and “Hot Cops 4: Bustin’ Loose” were released 1997.
“Young Guns” boasts a three-hours-plus running time, and streets Dec. 23.
