Tina Tyler Helms New All-Girl Line for Mercenary

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Mercenary Pictures this week launched an all-girl series that focused on new talent making their debut in adult films.

The first release in the “Fresh Out of the Box” series is directed by Tina Tyler, who also will take the creative lead on all future volumes in the series, as she does the company’s “IronHead” series.

Content from the "fresh Out of the Box" series, like all Mercenary Pictures footage, will be available as video-on-demand through Steele's website, LexSteele.com, which is a part of the BrainCash affiliate program.

"The women you'll find in ‘Fresh out the Box’ are new girls who, if they're not doing their first scene, are doing one of their very first scenes," Tyler said, adding that she wants to create an environment that is as comfortable as possible for newcomers to the industry.

"This business can be very intimidating for someone coming in," she said. "As a former female performer, I think I have an insight as to how to make these women more at ease for their scenes, and part of it is using experienced men who know what they're doing. I also make sure I know what the limits of these girls are, and I go over what they'll be doing."

The first volume of “Out of the Box” features fresh female faces matched with experienced males, including company owner Lexington Steele.

"Tina, because of her insight as a female performer, works better with new girls in this business," Steele said. "I thought having a man directing could get intimidating, and the only thing I'm concerned with is obtaining the best footage possible from these scenes."

The film is shot documentary-style, with Tyler interviewing each girl. It stars Naomi, Gina, Gabriella, Alexis Redd and Jemeni, as well as J.R. Langdon, Alex Knight, Jean Baptiste and Steele.
