According to Tom Hymes of the FSC, Executive Director Michelle Freridge and Legislative Affairs Director Kat Sunlove have a number of meetings and interviews planned for the trip, including discussion with FSC federal lobbyist Aubrey King, congressional staff members and sister free speech organizations.
Both Freridge and Sunlove have scheduled interviews with National Public Radio on Sept. 21, as well as plans to take part in a panel discussion titled “The First Amendment—America's Real Endangered Species,” put on by the Woodhull Freedom Foundation Brown Bag Lunch Series.
Freridge also will moderate an FSC membership meeting on Sept. 22, which will include a discussion with attorney Tom Maher about U.S.C. 18 §2257, as well as reports from Freridge on recent lobbying and legislative developments affecting the .XXX top-level domain, S1507, commonly referred to as the Lincoln Porn Tax bill and the Pence amendment to the Children’s Safety Act of 2005.
Closer to the porn capital, Hymes said an FSC membership meeting also is scheduled for Sept. 29 in Woodland Hills, Calif. Speakers will include Michael Fattorosi, who will discuss worker’s compensation issues, and FSC Board Chair Jeffrey Douglas, who will speak about 2257 developments.
