With the update, webmasters who license content from Full On Video can already offer access to more than 100 full-length DVDs, many from top-name studios like Digital Rain and CDI Entertainment. Titles can be downloaded or streamed in both Windows Media and Quicktime formats.
Full On Video owner JMK told XBiz that the site plans to update weekly with two additional DVDs.
“Webmaster have has become more discerning in the past few years due to the glut of inferior content thrust into the market,” JMK said. “Our webmasters have come to know us as a provider of top-quality and innovative material and so we had to deliver that again for version two.”
JMK said the hi-def movies can be accessed at multiple connection speeds and that Full On Video provides in-depth webmaster usage stats and price points starting at $49.
JMK said that as the company continues to release access to more DVDs, webmasters will be offered content to fit whatever niche they request.
“Certain webmasters don’t need all the categories we have to offer, so we’ll try to give them a feed specific for their needs,” he said.
First launched in 2002, JMK developed Full On Video in response to the growth of the DVD market online.
“I wanted to build something that would give webmasters a real retention tool, and streaming DVDs is obviously the future of the market,” he said.
