Rapper Kool Keith Starts Adult Movie, Lingerie Companies

LOS ANGELES — Rap emcee Kool Keith is taking his hustle from the rap game to the porn game. The underground rapper, who gained fame as a member of the Ultramagnetic MC’s, is planning to launch both adult fashion and adult movie imprints.

According to ContactMusic.com, Keith is working on his own lingerie line because he was fed up with the styles he saw in adult films.

"I'm doing my clothing line and my porno line,” Keith told the website. “I'm tired of the porn — even in amateur movies and stuff like that — I'm tired of the apparel. It's time for new apparel. It's time for other things, and other co-ordinations in fashion."

In addition to the KK Fashion brand, Keith is looking for up-and-coming adult stars to film for his adult movie venture, named KK Films.

"I'm looking for up-and-coming talent, instead of all the normal talent that you always see out there — talent that we get monotonous with, the same girls all in the same magazines, porn boxes,” Keith told ContactMusic.com. “I'm tryin' to work on upcoming talent. That's my thing; I'm gonna scoop some ethnic talent, and take it to another level.

"There are places that a lot of people don't have an outlet, as far as they're not in New York City and not in California. I want to touch people who possibly can't be reached by a person or scout out there. We're an outlet so that you can be notified and reached."

Kool Keith became a household name in the rap world after a starring turn on the Ultramagnetic MC’s album “Critical Beatdown.” The Bronx, N.Y. native has since gone on to record numerous independent-label solo albums. His biggest success came in 1995 with the single “Earth People,” which he recorded under the moniker of Dr. Octagon.
