"I love doing these burlesque shows, but I rarely have the time," Ireland said. "However, since it's Dark Grind Opera's first show and so near St. Patrick's Day, I couldn't say no. I'm doing an entire voodoo priestess set. It's very creepy and cool."
Hosted by Heckles and Twitch, opening night will include a VIP pre-show featuring a surprise musical guest and entertainment by the Grinder Monkey Quartet, as well as Shelby "Belfast" Jones, Victoria Vengeance and a number of other burlesque performers.
The evening also will feature performances by Diamondback Annie, Teddy Le Tame and Sophia Sirena, as well as an autograph and gallery session with the performers.
"'The Lost Grind Opera' is a bi-monthly theatrical showcase that brings you the very best in dark cabaret," the company said. "With its unique blend of glamorous modern burlesque, original live music and deviant, hilarious vaudeville, 'The Lost Grind Opera' looks to set the new standard in LA's underground scene."
Doors open to VIP ticket holders at 9:45 p.m., and those with general admission tickets will be granted access at 10:45 p.m.
