PacSun CEO Pritam Sinha was able to establish contacts in the region during last December's Asia Erotic Expo in Macau, China.
He has engaged the heads of other gay adult studios about distributing to China, and a PacSun shipment of product from some of those companies is scheduled to go out later this week.
"I am glad many other top studios have been as excited as I am in this attempt to conquer this vast and forbidden market," he said.
PacSun has frequently had to navigate the intricacies of shipment to countries with restrictive import policies. "We have shipped products to large retail customers in the Middle East, for example," said Michael LaBarbera, PacSun's head of production and marketing.
"But this is our first entry into the wholesale market in Asia."
