OhMiBod Teams With Mainstream Rock Band for VIP Vibe

GREENLAND, N.H. — Music-inspired vibrator manufacturer OhMiBod has teamed with rock band Hinder to release the Hinder VIP version of the company’s wearable Club Vibe.

The Hinder VIP can be purchased on OhMiBod.com, the band’s branded merchandise collection available at HinderMusic.com and at the band’s official venue merchandise table during its tour season.

The Hinder VIP also is available wholesale, company CEO Brian Vatter confirmed.

OhMiBod founder Suki said the venture initially was a result of its past product placement partnership with content producer Pink Visual, whose president, Allison Vivas, put her in contact with record company BMI.

“We thought of developing a band-branded vibrator,” Suki told XBIZ. “[BMI] floated the idea around and Hinder was super-excited about it. Their fanbase seemed to fit.”

Hinder, a band that’s been deemed by some critics as a new-age Aerosmith, has a largely female fan base, Suki said, and the band and its exclusive merchandiser, Bravado International Group, were very interested in the idea.

"Great rock music pumps electricity through your veins and lights a fire in your soul," said Hinder's lead singer, Austin Winkler. "OhMiBod allows us to give our biggest fans all of that and more, and we are excited to be working with them."

Suki also said that this kind of partnership is a very new concept, but the company is interested to see how it goes — and if it is a successful venture, OhMiBod is interested in pursuing future partnerships with music artists.

“At OhMiBod, we believe that self pleasure is not only healthy but also the safest sex anyone can have,” Suki said. “This notion is beginning to permeate the general public and our partnership with Hinder and Bravado is an important step in helping singles and couples alike explore their sexual boundaries in manner that is both safe and fun.”

The Club Vibe is one of the company’s latest music-powered vibrators, made with discretion in mind. The small bullet-style vibe tucks securely into a pouch of a black lace thong (provided) and pulses to the beat of music being played around the wearer. It also operates connected to an mp3 player or as a stand-alone manual vibrator.

Hinder currently is on tour in the U.S. as part of Nickelback’s Dark Horse Tour, featuring Nickelback, Papa Roach and Saving Abel. The band’s newest album, Take It to the Limit, debuted on the Billboard 200 chart at No. 4.
