Joanne Mason Leaves LittleMutt, Preps New Project

LOS ANGELES — Adult executive Joanne Mason, who was named managing director at young-performer website LittleMutt.com earlier this year, has left the company and is working on a new project.

The new project, Mason told XBIZ, is an entertainment consultancy company offering support and guidance in technology, production and design, with strategic planning and brand and product development, for individuals and mainstream and adult companies.

"There are a number of people involved and some projects are already in the works," Mason said. "Adult and mainstream projects are in the development stages. It's been in the planning and discussion stages for the last several months, so it seemed an appropriate time to leave LittleMutt and move on.

"The adult industry and mainstream entertainment are facing a difficult time, economically, and it requires new thinking," Mason said. "We want to bring together the resources of talented people to address that."

The consultancy company will be officially announced in about a month, Mason said.

Mason worked in education and management before joining Australia-based amateur-talent company AbbyWinters.com, where she held various positions including creative director, marketing manager, general manager of the Sydney office, executive producer for Abby Winters DVD releases and senior vice president. She left AbbyWinters and relocated to the U.S. in 2007. Mason can be reached at joanne@joannemasoncreative.com.
