CarnalNation Hires ‘Mr. LELO’ for Online Marketing

SAN FRANCISCO — CarnalNation.com has hired Shaye Saldana for online marketing efforts.

CarnalNation is a consumer portal for comprehensive news coverage for adults, and offers commentary and discussions related to sex, health fashion and adult products.

“We were looking for someone was involved in to the novelty community, who had a great reputation and of course, knows his way around trade shows, marketing and social media programs and who is a relationship builder,” CarnalNation CEO John Pettitt said.

CarnalNation cofounder Theresa Ikard said she got to know Saldana at a recent trade show and knew he’d be a good fit for the direction the site is going. Saldana is a former LELO U.S. PR and marketing manager

“I watched him instantly create new relationships with other manufactures, tend to the buyers requests for product info, be interviewed by not only the industry magazines but also by other media interested in what he had to say about LELO and the industry,” Ikard said. “I knew that given the chance, I would love the opportunity to have him as part of our team.”

A company rep said CarnalNation was developed out of a need to counteract oppressive forces that stifle sexual growth, awareness and fulfillment.

“CarnalNation believes that sex is a vital human need and that sexuality is an important component of who we are as individuals, how we relate to each other, and who we want to become,” the company said in a release.
