Private’s GameLink Division in Deal With BlissBox

BARCELONA — GameLink on Wednesday announced its fourth major white-label ecommerce and video-on-demand deal of the year with its managed services agreement with BlissBox.com.

With the deal, GameLink plans to manage the U.K.-based company’s VOD and ecommerce services, including personalized merchandising, promotions and campaign management and search engine marketing and optimization.

The deal, both companies say, will catapult BlissBox’s adult VOD offerings. Also, BlissBox now will be able to accept multiple currencies for pay-per-minute streaming and video downloads, as well as other products.

Seven-year-old BlissBox, with its tagline “Love sex, think BlissBox,” offers an array of adult products beyond VOD, including DVDs, sex toys and lingerie.

GameLink is billed as the third-largest VOD platform in the U.S., offering more than 70,000 movies in an array of formats.

“It’s a win for everyone,” said Andrew Sullivan, Private Media Group’s vice president of online services. Private is GameLink’s parent company. “Blissbox gets a premium solution that cost many millions and took years to develop, and they leverage our extensive experience in growing and managing an online business."

Sullivan said BlissBox should expect increased revenue, reduced cost, higher margins and emerge with greater business focus.

“We gain revenue and marketshare,” he said. “Both parties see gains in efficiency and profitability. It’s the beauty of economies of scale and complementary strengths.”

BlissBox spokesman Mike Carroll said that GameLink was selected because the company has a superior video player to all other VOD providers.

“Add to this their ability to manage and market our entire VOD platform and we knew this would be a successful relationship,” Carroll said.
