Manhunt.net Takes Billboard on Sunset Strip

WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Gay social-networking site Manhunt.net plans to follow up on its West Hollywood billboard with another one with a different design in Chicago.

Manhunt.net operators, which this week placed their towering ad at the strategic location of La Cienega and Sunset boulevards on the Sunset Strip, said strict guidelines had a lot to do with the PG-rated billboard.

“Would we still have created such a stir if we had just opted for a huge Manhunt logo and no image at all? It's impossible to say,” Manhunt.net operators said.

The billboard, above a Pink Dot convenience store, includes two men with the slogan, “Last Night Was HOT!”

Manhunt.net is operated by Cambridge, Mass.-based Online Buddies Inc. The site has more than 4 million profiles worldwide.
