LOS ANGELES — Rock star Dave Navarro will appear in a cameo role in Vivid Entertainment’s upcoming parody, “Batman XXX: A Porn Parody,” XBIZ has learned.
According to director Axel Braun, Navarro’s surprise appearance is only one of the unique aspects of the film that remains true to the ‘60s TV cult favorite that also includes use of the original “Batmobile,” the "Batusi" dance and the "Batclimb" effect.
Costumes for the big-budget movie have been made by the same people who manufactured the original outfits for the TV show, using the same materials and dyes at a total cost of nearly $20,000, according to Braun.
The signature Batman costume will have a “XXX” inside of a yellow oval on the chest, instead of a bat, and the Robin costume will have an “X” instead of an “R” to avoid trademark infringes, according to the director.
Batman is being played by veteran porn star Nick Manning, who went through an 8-week, ultra-intense training regimen dropping almost 30lbs for the role. Manning is also planning to cut his trademark long hair.
“Every detail is absolutely faithful to the original, with only minor modifications,” Braun said.
