CommerceGate Named Diamond Sponsor of Barcelona Summit

BARCELONA — Internet payment processor CommerceGate has announced its premium sponsorship of the Barcelona Summit.

The event takes place at the five-star ME Hotel in Barcelona, Spain, from February 19-21 and is expected to build on the success of last year's show, offering an international mix of online adult entertainment industry decision makers. The show's organizers hope to bring together more than 450 sponsors, participants, webmasters and affiliates during the three day event.

"Sponsoring The Barcelona Summit was an easy decision," CommerceGate CEO Bjorn Skarlen said. "This is a very important show, both for European and international webmasters. As an international billing provider with offices in Barcelona, this is the perfect opportunity for us to meet with clients and potential customers from all over the world."

According to its promoters, the recent volatility in the online billing marketplace will be addressed at the Barcelona Summit, which will help bring to light the issues facing the adult entertainment industry, focusing on the risks and opportunities being dealt with by webmasters worldwide.

"This is an exciting time in our industry when things are moving quickly, so it is important to always be prepared for change," Skarlen said. "At CommerceGate, we know the importance of safeguarding the revenue streams of our clients. Over the years we have created strong multiple banking relationships and redundant platforms to utilize when needed."

According to Skarlen, CommerceGate enjoys many banking relationships and offers a wide variety of third party and direct merchant account solutions.

"Our strong banking connections allow us to tailor our solutions to fit each of our clients' business models, and in the event that one bank cannot process for a client, we are able to switch seamlessly to one of our other partners without any disruption to their processing needs," Skarlen said. "Payment processing with CommerceGate is one of the most stable and reliable solutions on the market. Our clients know that no matter what happens, their sites can stay open for business 24/7/365, protected and ready for any event."
