LOS ANGELES — Adult star Sophie Dee fundraises for Dahlia, a dog in need.
Dee, who is an advocate for animal welfare, twittered her fans to raise money for the boxer mix after meeting the canine at All the Same Wild and Tame animal shelter in Sherman Oaks, Calif.
Dahlia came to the shelter nearly a year ago and was severely mutilated. Her ears, tail and nose were cut off, lips sliced and toes amputated.
"I saw Dahlia and my heart went out to her immediately," Dee said. "All the Same Wild and Tame is a great organization and they're doing an amazing job taking care of Dahlia, but I wanted to do my own part to help. I went online, created a donation page and tweeted Dhalia's story to my fans and asked them to give. The page has only been up for a day. It's raised more than $200 and I will continue to raise funds for Dahlia and All the Same Wild and Tame."
"Dahlia's a happy, joyous dog,” said Mary Miller, founder of All the Same Wild and Tame. “She's playful and welcomes anyone who wants to play with her.”
Miller added that since they've received Dahlia, she's done much better under the shelter's care, but she still needs to undergo additional surgeries.
"I'm very happy my fans have shown their support for Dahlia and All the Same Wild and Tame," Dee said
