Mercenary Pictures Debuts Online VOD Theater

CANOGA PARK, Calif. — Mercenary Pictures has launched an online video-on-demand theater, VOD.MercenaryPicturesVideo.com, featuring never-before-seen footage.

According to the company, the site was built in-house and debuts with more than 100 scenes from titles such as “Lex Steele XXX," "SuperWhores," "Black Reign," "Pole Position: Lex POV," "IronHead," "Fresh Out the Box," "Silverback Attack," "Ebony XXX" and "Top Guns."

With new scenes being added regularly, Mercenary Pictures said streaming video also will be available to the site’s monthly subscribers and downloadable scenes encoded in iPhone-, iPad- and iTunes-friendly formats will also be available for sale.

Mercenary Pictures owner Lexington Steele said the company also built and maintains the company's business-to-business site, MercenaryB2B.com, as well as the consumer site, MercenaryPicturesVideo.com.

"Our goal, of course, is to make all our content available online," Steele said. "There is no denying that we are no longer just a video production company, but a content producer and online distributor as well. Like all companies, we need to move where the market moves. But let me make it clear — we are not abandoning DVD at this time."

All of the VOD theater's content, including full still galleries of the scenes, will be available with premium memberships. Members with standard memberships will have limited access to the site's scenes. Pay-to-download and pay-per-minute options are also available.
