XBIZ Welcomes Dan Miller as Managing Editor

LOS ANGELES — XBIZ has tapped veteran adult industry journalist Dan Miller as managing editor of XBIZ Premiere magazine. He brings 17 years of professional journalism experience to XBIZ.

Miller, who was born in Seoul and grew up in Pittsburgh, comes to XBIZ from AVN, where during his nine-year tenure at the company, held various positions with the company, including executive editor, managing editor, editor-in-chief and vice president of the content division.

“I’ve learned a lot about the business of adult entertainment during the past nine years and met some fascinating people along the way,” Miller said.

“I’m excited to join this forward-thinking media company that I have always recognized and admired as an industry leader. I look forward to telling the story of adult through their cutting-edge media platforms.”

Miller has interviewed hundreds of adult industry personalities, including 2010 profiles on Tori Black, Rocco Siffredi, Paul Thomas and Jules Jordan.

Miller previously worked as sportswriter at the San Gabriel Valley Tribune in West Covina, Calif., and the East Valley Tribune in Mesa, Ariz.

Don Parret, XBIZ's executive director of publishing, said Miller was an obvious choice for the company.

"We've always admired Dan's concise reporting skills and his genuine storytelling ability," Parret said. "We're very pleased with his addition."

Among other duties, Miller will oversee production of XBIZ Premiere, a leading trade magazine covering the adult retail business.

With Miller's appointment, XBIZ Premiere Executive Editor Bob Johnson was promoted as XBIZ's features editor for both XBIZ World and XBIZ Premiere.
