“It’s a completely different company,” Stuart explained. Whereas Maverick is known for its compilations of catalog footage, XOXO will produce original gonzo titles beginning with the Jan. 2 release of “Anal Xcess,” starring Ali-Kat, Vanilla Skye, Rachel Luv and John West.
Stuart said his goal with XOXO is to “really take hardcore down to hardcore.” There will be no pretty scenery, nothing to get in the way of the sex.
Instead, Stuart said, he interviewed dozens of actresses, actors and directors in order to find talent capable of delivering the “kinky but erotic” performances that he says will become the hallmark of the company’s movies.
“I pushed the envelope and produced premier talent, interviewed dozens of directors and selected a camera crew second to none to make movies that flash back to in your mind the next morning,” Stuart said.
Among the performers making the cut are Lucie, Lenka, Roadka, Katka and Monika, who are featured in the company’s second scheduled release, “Girlfriends”; Dani Woodward, Venus, Olivia Saint and Layla Rivera, all of whom appear in “Too Young for Cum”; as well as Samantha, Dana, Tomas, Zuzana and Jorg, selected as cast members for XOXO’s final January release, “The A Teen.”
“I wanted a product that’s extremely hardcore, but will still turn on couples,” Stuart told XBiz. “I wanted to show people positions they wouldn’t think of on their own, that they can imitate in the privacy of their bedrooms. That’s why the box covers say, ‘The Purest Form of Hardcore.’”
Stuart said he also spent month coming up with unique packaging that will “all but jump off store shelves.” XOXO DVDs come in translucent, clear-white boxes, and each DVD insert is foiled in two colors. Another subtle, yet important element, according to Stuart, is an extra millimeter of thickness in the shrink-wrap, giving the box a “feel commensurate with the content and design.”
Stuart said he decided to take the plunge into original productions because competition in the compilation market is so keen and the margins so small that companies serving the market have only two choices — find another product to offer distributors or get out of the business.
“I chose to find another product,” he said.
