James Bartholet Returns for 'Not Charlie's Angels XXX'

LOS ANGELES — James Bartholet, a veteran mainstream actor and a go-to person for adult parody roles, plays Bosley in X-Play's upcoming "Not Charlie’s Angels XXX" spoof that will be released this week through Digital Sin.

The 50-year-old Bartholet has carved out quite a resume in the mainstream entertainment industry including a stint on "General Hospital." In adult, his comedic performances in parodies have kept his services in demand.

"Will Ryder gives me a lot of room to embellish on the character, and we always have fun working together,” Bartholet said.

“I get to do some funny little side characters with the Bosley role as you will see when they go undercover to solve the big mystery."

Bartholet joins a "Charlie's Angels" cast that includes Sunny Leone and Andy San Dimas along with newcomer Lexi Swallow as the three beautiful angels. The movie also features Heather Starlet, Breanne Benson, Madison Ivy, Cassandra Cruz, Vicky Chase, Alana Evans, Kaitlin Rush, Marcus London, Dirty Harry, Eric Swiss, Chris Evans, Eric John, Seth Gamble, Chad Diamond and Freddie Boom Ba.

Ryder, who uses Bartholet in his parodies as a matter of routine, said he is "a director’s best weapon because he is a trained actor that can deliver dialogue with the best of them."

Among Bartholet's other parody credits are "Not the Bradys XXX- Bradys Meet the Partridge Family," "Not Married with Children XXX," "Not MASH XXX," "This Ain’t Happy Days XXX," "Not Three’s Company XXX," "Not Bewitched XXX" and "Flight Attendants."

“For our money James is at the top of his game and he really nailed the role of Bosley in our spoof of the classic "Charlie’s Angels" television show,” co-producer Scott David said. “He deserves to be recognized because he is an excellent actor.”

“I know he’s starting to do sex scenes but I prefer to think of James as a fantastic non-sex actor," Ryder added. Then he joked, "So as far as I’m concerned X-Play will continue to hire him to play these fabulous and beloved roles but he’s not allowed to touch the naked broads at least not while naked on our set."
