“I began my journey into the world of latex through the Los Angeles fetish club scene and soon became completely obsessed with the feel and shine of latex clothing,” said Black, who’s appeared on fetish site GwenMedia.com. “I loved the way it hugged my curves and gave me a perfect hour glass figure.”
After discovering her love of latex, Black said she moved into fetish modeling and soon landed a job as a dungeon manager for one of the top dominatrix in Los Angeles.
“During my time managing the Ivy Manor we were always ripping vacbeds, clothing and other latex accessories,” she said. “I began repairing and modifying the latex around the studio and also my own that had blown while out on the town. Through word of mouth I started building a private clientele of world-renowned models and dominatrix’s. The idea to start my company was born!”
Bella Black Designs offers repair kits that include five 5x7 swatches of latex available in an assortment of colors, a three-ounce bottle of latex adhesive and finishing powder.
The kit also includes step-by-step instructions, which are also available at BellaBlackDesigns.com, where the kit’s contents also are available separately.
“The first product I have designed is a do-it-yourself latex repair kit so people around the world can easily repair their ripped and torn clothing as well as modify their items with colorful appliqués,” Black said, adding that the latex appliqués are available array of colors and thickness to create unique looks.
“Latex tears so easily and my product will extend the life of the latex by allowing people to patch small rips and tears so they don't grow and in the end ruin the garment,” Black said. “If done properly the patch will be permanent and last forever. Just like new!
“The feedback has been amazing because there's no product like it available.”
Black said she also offers prompt latex repair for larger tears and at a reasonable cost.
