Family Safe Media Report: Porn Generates $97 Billion Worldwide

CYBERSPACE — According to Family Safe Media, the worldwide revenue for porn is a whopping $97.06 billion annually. If that figure were accurate, the porn business would be larger than the combined revenues of Microsoft, Google, Amazon, eBay, Yahoo!, Apple, Netflix and EarthLink.

The company claims America's share is $13.33 billion. Both figures are highly disputable, given that no official statistics are maintained on annual porn revenues in America or elsewhere — and such data remains difficult to track with precision. However most knowledgeable industry sources estimate the annual revenues for porn easily exceed $6 billion worldwide.
