Founder Peter Frost, who has been in the live cam business since 1997, has teamed with GayAsianAmateurs.com and Marina Pacific to help market and distribute the new lines.
Frost told XBiz that Asia Bootleg released its first gay title, “Cherry Box Boys,” last May as a market test, and that the video’s sales prompted the gay move. He said the company experienced similar success with a tranny DVD released late last year.
“All my stuff is filmed out of the country,” Frost told XBiz. “I just sort of rolled into gay and tranny films. The first tranny film we did seemed to be a viable product so I am turning it into a line because the first did really well.”
From his offices on Oahu, Frost has been making DVDs for about two years now. His foray into foreign markets began shortly after he launched the live cam site HawaiiDreamGirls.com in1999, which soon found him marketing similar sites out of Indonesia, the Philippines, Thailand and Peru.
“I call the company Asia Bootleg because we smuggle our footage out of countries where it is illegal to film,” Frost said.
Frost said the first DVD from the new lines should hit the shelves by early February.
