‘Neu Wave Hookers’ 3-Disc Set Will Include Original Version

LOS ANGELES — Often times, it’s important to look to the past in order to see the future a bit more clearly – and such is the case with VCA Pictures' upcoming release of “Neu Wave Hookers,” scheduled to hit stores Tuesday, Jan. 17.

The film, directed by Eon McKai who finds himself at the forefront of alt-porn’s increasing popularity, will be sold as a three-disc special edition DVD set, offering the feature movie, special features and a full-version DVD of the Dark Brother’s original 1985 “New Wave Hookers” classic starring Ginger Lynn.

“My version plays with the fact that these girls buy a copy of the original ‘New Wave Hookers’ and go through its files, which leads into the rest of the movie,” McKai told XBiz. “By including the original movie with the DVD set, you can see where it was cut, where it was edited. You can explore it the way the girls explore the original in the movie.”

McKai added that including the original version with the DVD set wasn’t costly, despite that the packaging for the set is more extravagant than usual.

“We really did go all out on the packaging for this,” McKai told XBiz. “It’s just been a while since VCA has done anything this big.”

McKai told XBiz he was inspired to create a new version of the alt-porn flick for VCA because he finds the studio’s history interesting, when compared to other adult production studios.

“VCA has really been the red-headed step child,” McKai said, adding he’s a huge Dark Brother’s fan. “I’m just trying to bring a little bit of pride to the name and brand. VCA seemed like a good place to go with a larger budget – really hold that VCA logo up in the sun a little.”

The film’s budget is the largest in alt-porn history. Early pre-sales indicate the film will top the sales charts upon its release, according to VCA’s Head of Marketing and Sales Peter Reynolds.

“I think that this movie will become a modern day classic on its own merits,” Reynolds said. “Certainly the incredible multi-disc packaging is just an incredible bonus that gives the movie the best value possible.”

“Neu Wave Hookers” features Riley Mason, Joanna Angel, Justine Joli, Tiger, Nyomi Zen, Sierra Sinn, Felix Vicious and Dana DeArmond.
