Yahoo hasn't disclosed the glitch that set things off, but the search firm offered a statement: "Yahoo is experiencing issues with some of our image search results.
"We are working with Microsoft to correct the issue as quickly as possible. We understand that this may have caused some inconvenience and apologize to users who have been affected."
The glitch, or act of sabotage, came the same day that Yahoo laid off over 600 employees. Yahoo released about four percent of the company’s workforce on Tuesday in an attempt to streamline operations and better compete with rivals.
