In late August, DiReda and Thomas sold their share of Vertigo Video to partners at Caballero Home Video, which owns and operates Blue Pictures and Fever Films. The goal, according to DiReda, was to “truly create a company that quintessentially represents our newfound ideas of porn, quality and style.”
That style was typified by the company’s first two titles, “Ass Fuck” and “Prom Teen,” two anal and gangbang productions directed by veteran Martin Del Toro, perhaps best known for his directorial contributions to Colossal Entertainment’s successful gonzo project “I Cream on Genie.”
“Titty Babies” was directed by David Lord and stars Hillary Scott, Gianna, Davia Ardell, Vilicity Von and Trina Michaels. Described eloquently by DiReda as “a video for big breast fans who love big breasts,” the video is scheduled for release on Jan. 24.
Meanwhile, the considerably harder “Meat Puppets,” directed by Del Toro, is scheduled to hit shelves on Jan. 31. The film features Holly Wellin, Marie Luv, Tiffany Taylor, Jenna Pressley and Roxy Deville.
“It’s really hardcore, with girls basically treated like a piece of meat,” DiReda said.
“Titty Babies” and “Meat Puppets,” both of which may become series by the company, are the first of several series ideas DiReda said he has for American Hardcore.
Prior to his work with Thomas, DiReda spent several years in marketing capacities for both Vivid Entertainment and Pure Play Media, where he marketed Ninn Worx, Seymore Butts and SCORE. Thomas previously worked in sales at both Vivid and Private.
