XBIZ LA Welcome Reception Mixed, Matched Attendees for Effective Networking

LOS ANGELES - The Mix & Match Welcome Reception hosted by VideoSecrets and CommerceGate turned the Sofitel’s intimate Stone Rose Lounge into a buzzing, perfect mix of comfortable networking with meetings facilitated by organized pairings.

Everyone was marked on arrival with colored ribbons designating attendees’ areas of business, making it easy for individuals to spot those that are most relevant to their own and sparking immediate conversations among them.

Jeff Bolanos of BeaMonstar Products, a manufacturer and distributor of all-natural sex enhancement products for men and women that is exhibiting at this week’s XBIZ Retail Expo, arrived in L.A. early in the week and synced up with several online adult professionals at XBIZ LA’s ever-popular Speed Networking and reconnected during the Mix & Match.

“BeaMonstar has conquered brick-and-mortar retail and now we’re ready to get online,” Bolanos said.

Purple signified a webmaster, green represented billing, red meant affiliate, orange indicated traffic broker and blue marked those with miscellaneous, B2B services. Some industry vets piled on the titles, but even those that lost their marks throughout the night still managed to get around, making several rounds throughout the packed expansive lounge area.

“This evening turned out to be amazing,” said Brad Estes, manager of operations for Video Secrets. “The turnout was amazing. I saw many old friends and several new faces. We’re very glad that we were able to hold this event for everyone.”

Cathy Beardsley, partner and senior vice president of sales and marketing for CommerceGate.com, seconded the sentiment.

“The Mix & Match event received a lot of great feedback,” Beardsley said. “Attendees were able to define and reach the categories that they were seeking.

“Thank you to everyone that participated,” she said, adding that it was a pleasure to work alongside VideoSecrets.

Enjoying complimentary drinks and each other’s company, attendees of the Mix & Match event left feeling satisfied with the level of productivity the networking cocktail party offered. Many attendees hung around until it was time to prepare for tonight’s Cybersocket Awards.
