The new notebooks are made with precision aluminum-alloy hinges, cast titanium-alloy display latches and the HP DisplaySafe Frame.
The new notebooks include a line of Elitebooks, ProBook and ProBook S series.
The EliteBook 8460p and 8560p notebooks are 14-inch and 15.6-inch diagonal HD led-backlit displays weighing from about 4.5 pounds to about 6 pounds.
The line uses the new Intel i7 quad-core processors along with Core i5, i3, and i7 dual-core CPUs as well. The rigs can be optioned with AMD HD 6470 GPUs or UMA graphics and they have USB 3.0 ports. The 8460p promises up to 32 hours of runtime per charge with the 9-cell optional battery.
The ProBook s-series includes the 12.1-inch 4230s, the 13.3-inch 4330s, the 14-inch 4430s, and the 15.6-inch 4530s. The range can be had with Core i7, i5, and i3 processors and has an aluminum deck, gesture-supporting touchpad, HD webcams with dual-array mics and premium sound.
Pricing for the EliteBook series starts at $999 for the 8460p and $1,099 for the 8560p. The b-series ProBooks start at $799 and the ProBook s-series starts at $579. All of the notebooks will launch on March 15.
