COLT Studio Group Puts Emphasis on 'Strong'

SONOMA, Calif. — Executives from COLT Studio Group, whose parent company Prowest Media Corp. recently emerged from Chapter 11, say the company now is on solid financial foundation and looking for a prosperous future.

“Throughout the restructuring period we remained committed to maintaining the high standards for which our studio has been known," said John Rutherford, COLT’s president and creative director. "With the restructuring of our business, [Prowest] can now emerge from one of the most challenging economic periods for producers in history."

The company, based in Sonoma, Calif., has even take on a new tagline with the new spirit — "strong."

"We are 'COLT Strong,' the most consistently produced studio in the industry since 1967,” Rutherford said.

“COLT Studio group and it’s subsidiaries will continue the production of the iconic COLT, Buckshot and Olympus line of features, as well as introducing new COLT Gear toys, new private label COLT apparel and COLT Leather products and much more for 2011," he said.

CEO Tom Settle added: “We look forward to working with PMC’s dedicated employees, distribution, manufacturing and online partners and of course our very loyal customers while we continue to build upon the company’s legacy.”
