CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — Private Media Group filed suit today against the operators of YouJizz.com, one of the web's largest tube sites, for pirating at least 125 videos.
Private's copyright infringement suit against YouJizz.com, extends to sister tube site JizzHut.com, as well as 100 unnamed advertising business partners, for displaying such Private titles as "All You Need Is Sex," "Anal Lolitas," "Cleopatra" and "Beauties in the Tropix."
Private, in the suit filed at U.S. District Court in Iowa, said that when it conducted a forensic search for poached content on the site in February, it found "a very large portion of the content indexed on or available on the websites are infringing, unauthorized copyrighted content."
"Defendant provides embed links that allow third parties to display plaintiff's intellectual property to third parties on third party websites for the purpose of deriving traffic back to YouJizz.com or JizzHut.com," the suit says. "This significantly increases the number of views.
"This number grows daily thus furthering the number of copyright infringements and contributing to the further dilution of the plaintiff's trade and service marks."
Private also says that the pirated vidoes are accompanied by advertisements that generate annual revenue estimated in tens of millions of dollars for YouJizz.com or JizzHut.com.
According to the complaint, YouJizz is visited by 5 million surfers a month and ranked No. 163 by Alexa, while JizzHut is visited by 450,000 a month and ranked No. 2,251.
Private aggressively has gone after a number of sites that have been accused of pirating the company's videos.
In the past year, the company has sued operators of SkimTube.com, EskimoTube.com and Tjoob.com, as well as XonDemand, EmpFlix.com and TnAFlix.com. Those suits currently are pending.
The company also sued the operator of Slutload.com, but that case was settled last month.
XBIZ was unable to reach company representatives at YouJizz and JizzHut's parent company IG Media Co. of Vancouver, Canada, for comment.
Private, through a company official, declined comment on the suit.
